How hiring a tutor works

Search by subject, grade and area. Each profile shows the tutor's rate and what other families said about them.
Send a request
Say which child needs help, in which subjects, and how many lessons a week you want. The tutor accepts or declines.
Pay the month ahead
You pay Temari.et for each Ethiopian month before it starts, and lessons begin once it is paid.
Confirm the lessons
After each lesson you confirm that it happened. The tutor is paid only for confirmed lessons, and a paid lesson that did not happen becomes credit for your next month.

How are tutors checked?
Every tutor gives their Fayda national ID number and uploads their certificates, and the Temari.et team reviews both before the profile is shown to families.
How does paying for a tutor work?
You pay each Ethiopian month in advance on Temari.et. The money is held until the lessons happen, and the tutor is paid only for the lessons you confirm.
Can the tutor come to our home?
Yes. Each tutor says whether they teach at home, online or both, and which areas they cover, so you can pick the one that suits your family.
What if a lesson does not happen?
Raise an issue on that lesson instead of confirming it, and Temari.et looks into it. A lesson that was paid for but not taught becomes credit on your next month.
Which subjects and grades do tutors cover?
Tutors list the subjects they teach from the national curriculum, KG to Grade 12, with the grades they cover for each one.
